The standard applies to steel vessels forged, forged-welded, multi-layered, as well as single-layer, made of sheet steel, operating under an internal pressure of over 10 MPa to 100 MPa, used in the chemical, petrochemical, mineral fertilizer and other related industries, meeting the requirements of GOST 11879-81, OST 26-01-9-80, OST 26-01-221-86. The standard establishes norms and methods for calculating the strength under static and low-cycle loading of cylindrical single-layer and multi-layer shells, flat and convex bottoms, studs, flanges, flat and convex covers, reinforcing holes in the shells and convex bottoms.

Стандарт распространяется на сосуды и аппараты стальные кованые, кованосварные, многослойные, а также однослойные, изготовленные из листового проката, работающие под действием внутреннего давления свыше 10 МПа до 100 МПа, применяемые в химической, нефтехимической промышленности, производстве минеральных удобрений и других смежных отраслях промышленности, отвечающие требованиям ГОСТ 11879-81, ОСТ 26-01-9-80, ОСТ 26-01-221-86. Стандарт устанавливает нормы и методы расчета на прочность при статическом и малоцикловом нагружении цилиндрических однослойных и многослойных обечаек, плоских и выпуклых днищ, шпилек, фланцев, плоских и выпуклых крышек, укрепления отверстий в обечайках и выпуклых днищах.
