Guideline on calculation of short circuit currents and electric equipment choice.

Status: Effective
The guidelines are intended for use by power engineers when they carry out calculations of short-circuit currents (CCs) and electrical equipment (conductors and electrical apparatus) testing according to the short-circuit mode. Guidance includes methods for calculating currents of symmetrical and asymmetrical short circuits in electrical installations with voltages above 1 kV and up to 1 kV, methods for testing conductors and electrical devices for electrodynamic and thermal stability, and methods for checking electrical devices for switching capacity. The guidelines are not intended for use in the calculation of short-circuit currents for the purpose of relay protection and automation in specific conditions (the presence of long transmission lines, longitudinal and transverse compensation, nonlinear elements in the circuit; double, repetitive, modified and complex types of short-circuits, etc.) .
Руководящие указания предназначены для использования инженерами-энергетиками при выполнении ими расчетов токов короткого замыкания (КЗ) и проверке электрооборудования (проводников и электрических аппаратов) по режиму КЗ. Руководящие указания включают в себя методы расчета токов симметричных и несимметричных КЗ в электроустановках напряжением свыше 1 кВ и до 1 кВ, методы проверки проводников и электрических аппаратов на электродинамическую и термическую стойкость и методы проверки электрических аппаратов на коммутационную способность. Руководящие указания не предназначены для использования при расчетах токов КЗ для целей релейной защиты и автоматики в специфических условиях (наличие длинных линий электропередачи, продольной и поперечной компенсации, нелинейных элементов в цепи; двойные, повторные, видоизменяющиеся и сложные виды КЗ и т.п.).
