The guidance document establishes verification methods for calculating the strength of steel welded cylindrical shells, taking into account deviations from the correct geometric shape (total and local non-roundness, displacement of weld edges), operating under single and low-cycle static loads under internal overpressure, vacuum or external pressure. The guidance document is applicable to vessels and apparatus manufactured in accordance with the requirements of OST 26-291-79, when this standard is permitted, if confirmed by special calculations, production with increased tolerances
