Microbiology of food and animal feeding stuffs. Methods for detection and enumeration of sulphite-reducing bacteria growing under anaerobic conditions
Status: Effective - Supersedes. IUS 10-2015
The standard applies to food and animal feed and establishes a method for identifying sulfite-reducing bacteria growing under anaerobic conditions, and a method for determining their quantity by sowing the product in dense nutrient media. The method of planting in dense nutrient media is intended for food products containing not less than 150 or 1 cm3 of liquid product with at least 15 colony-forming units of sulfite-reducing bacteria in 1 g of solid product. The methods are also applicable for testing environmental samples taken from food production and processing areas.
