The standard applies to diesel trains and diesel electric trains, for the carriage of passengers and baggage, as well as diesel trains for technical purposes intended for operation on non-electrified and electrified sections of railway lines with a gauge of 1,520 mm and speeds of up to 160 km
Стандарт распространяется на дизель-поезда и дизель-электропоезда, для перевозки пассажиров и багажа, а также на дизель-поезда служебно-технического назначения, предназначенные для эксплуатации на неэлектрифицированных и электрифицированных участках железнодорожных линий с шириной колеи 1520 мм со скоростями движения до 160 км/ч и устанавливает общие требования к ним. Стандарт не распространяется на автомотрисы и рельсовые автобусы.
