This standard applies to pipeline valves (hereinafter referred to as valves) and establishes the types and categories of tests, methods of basic (mandatory) testing and control and criteria for evaluating the results of basic tests. The main tests and control are mandatory for all types of control tests of commercially produced valves, as well as are an integral part of testing test samples of valves
