The standards apply to the design of deaf dams (or pressure dams) made of soil materials (earthen bulk and alluvial, stone-earthen and rock-embankment dams), which are part of buildings of various construction areas (hydrotechnical and water transport, land-improvement systems, water supply systems, fish farming, with floods).
