Model Guidelines for Operation and Repair of Slip Rings and Brushes of Turbine Generators with Power of 63 MW and Above
Status: Effective
The Model Manual outlines methods for monitoring, operational regulation and maintenance of brush-contact apparatus in normal and abnormal modes of operation, as well as the technology for replacing and repairing individual elements of the brush-contact apparatus and the rotor's current lead assembly of 63 MW and above. The standard instruction is intended for the personnel of power plants, carrying out operational maintenance and repair of brush apparatus and slip ring assembly, as well as personnel of specialized enterprises engaged in scheduled repairs of brush-contact apparatus and current-drive rotor assemblies of turbogenerators. A number of provisions of the Model Manual can be used in the operation of similar assemblies of smaller turbogenerators.
