Procedural Guidelines for Assessment of Individual Service Life of Steam Turbines and Prolongation of Their Operational Life Beyond the Individual Service Life of Steam Turbines and Prolonging Their Operational Life Beyond The Equipment Service Life

Status: Not effective

The guidance document applies to steam turbines operating at a steam temperature of 450 ° C and higher, and determines the procedure for carrying out work when extending their service life beyond the park resource. The provisions of this sectoral regulatory document are subject to mandatory application at the enterprises of the industry "Power", located in the territories of the Russian Federation and Ukraine, and can be used at the enterprises of this industry, located in other countries. The Methodical Guidelines (MU) determine the necessary work, their scope and sequence, required for evaluating the individual resource of the main elements of steam turbines and extending their service life beyond the park resource, non-destructive testing methods and reliability criteria, general requirements for the estimated residual life of these elements, repair and regime measures to ensure reliable operation of turbines after the exhaustion of an individual resource or the detection of unacceptable defects in the metal.
