Technical Instructions for Using Aero Methods on Bridge Surveys
Status: Effective
Technical instructions are intended for surveys of bridge crossings and sections of the railway and highways along rivers (valley passages) using aerial methods in combination with ground measurements, the volume of which is determined by the admissibility and level of knowledge of the survey area. The methods and techniques of summer survey and laboratory aerohydrometric and phototopographic works are presented, which allow to obtain the necessary for the development of the design task: speeds and directions of surface currents, water consumption, depths of water levels, longitudinal profiles of rivers, lines of navigation channels and ice movement, large-scale photocircuits and topographic plans on the sections of the designed bridges and valley passages. If necessary, for the development of working drawings perform additional work to clarify the topographic plans and profiles of living sections.
