The recommendation provides for the volume and sequence of primary and periodic verification operations for working tools for measuring the average optical power in optical fiber transmission systems (FOTS) - compact optical power meters (hereinafter referred to as wattmeter), optical radiation sources (hereinafter - source) and optical testers (hereinafter - the tester). A tester is a device or a set of devices consisting of a wattmeter and a source (or a set of sources). The tester is the simplest and most versatile device for measuring average power and attenuation in FOTS.
Рекомендация предусматривает объем и последовательность проведения операций первичной и периодической поверки для рабочих средств измерений средней мощности оптического излучения в волоконно-оптических системах передачи (ВОСП) – малогабаритных измерителей оптической мощности (далее – ваттметр), источников оптического излучения (далее - источник) и оптических тестеров (далее – тестер). Под тестером понимается прибор или комплект приборов, состоящий из ваттметра и источника (или комплекта источников). Тестер является наиболее простым и универсальным прибором для измерения средней мощности и затухания в ВОСП.
