The standard applies to filtering personal protective equipment for respiratory organs, gas masks and self-rescuers intended for use as personal protective equipment for the respiratory organs, face and eyes of the civilian population, emergency rescue teams and militarized units of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in emergency situations in peacetime and wartime. The standard establishes the general requirements for the procedure for assessing the effectiveness of the protection of filter personal protective equipment for respiratory organs. The requirements of this standard are mandatory for use in organizing the protection of the public in emergencies. The standard does not apply to the following types of respiratory protective equipment: - military; - firefighters (including for evacuation from closed volumes); - medical; - aviation; - for underwater work; - industrial.
Стандарт распространяется на фильтрующие средства индивидуальной защиты органов дыхания, предназначенные для защиты от вредных для здоровья аэрозолей, газов и паров и их сочетаний в окружающем воздухе при условии содержания в нем кислорода не менее 17 об. %. Стандарт устанавливает общие технические требования к фильтрующим средства индивидуальной защиты органов дыхания и их частям. Стандарт не распространяется на следующие специальные виды средства индивидуальной защиты органов дыхания: пожарные; военные; медицинские; авиационные; для подводных работ.
