Status: Effective. The limitation of effectiveness has been lifted: Protocol No. 2-92 of the IGU dated 05.10.92 (IUS 2-1993)

The standard applies to bottom sediments of seas, oceans, water bodies, watercourses and estuarine areas of rivers flowing into the sea, and establishes general requirements for sampling bottom sediments of water bodies for analysis of contamination by chemical, microbiological and hydrobiological indicators.
