Рекомендации содержит положения, относящиеся к вопросам построения и написания наименований объектов в общесоюзных классификаторах технико-экономической информации (общесоюзный классификатор, ОК ТЭИ): применению слов и словосочетаний, степени смысловой полноты наименования, моделям построения наименований, написанию наименований объектов в ОК ТЭИ с учетом стандартизованной терминологии.
