Status: Not effective - Canceled in the Russian Federation. Information about the registration of 612-st dated 12/27/2007 (official standard of Rosstandart); IUS 5-2008
The standard applies to shields for individual protection of an electric welder's face from direct radiation from a welding arc, splashes of molten metal and sparks. The standard does not apply to special shields intended for special working conditions: for example, for work in rooms with high gas content, in rooms of limited volume with intense heat generation, etc., where additional protection of the respiratory organs, neck or electric welder head is required.
Стандарт распространяется на щитки для индивидуальной защиты лица электросварщика от прямых излучений сварочной дуги, брызг расплавленного металла и искр. Стандарт не распространяется на специальные щитки, предназначенные для особых условий работы: например, для работы в помещениях с повышенной загазованностью, в помещениях ограниченного объема при интенсивных тепловыделениях и др., там, где требуется дополнительная защита органов дыхания, шеи или головы электросварщика.
