The standard applies to fixtures for securing workpieces (conductors, magnetic and electromagnetic plates, vice, satellite fixtures, faceplates, mandrels, centers, etc.) to machine tools and woodworking equipment and establishes basic safety requirements for the design and means of mechanization.
