The standard applies to equipment of three-phase alternating current of 50 Hz frequency of three-phase (three-pole) versions for voltages from 1 to 750 kV, climatic versions of U, UHL, HL, T, TS, placement categories 1, 2, 3 and 4 according to GOST 15150: power transformers (including autotransformers); voltage transformers (electromagnetic and capacitive); current transformers; reactors: shunting, current-limiting voltage classes from 1 to 220 kV, grounding arc suppressing voltage classes from 1 to 35 kV; devices: switches (including load switches and separators with no visible gap between the contacts), disconnectors (including disconnecting load switches and separators with a visible gap between the contacts), short circuit breakers, earthing switches, apparatus complexes, fuses of voltage classes from 1 to 220 kV, complete switchgear, incl. outdoor installation, in a metal untight sheath of voltage classes from 1 to 35 kV, shielded conductors of voltage classes from 1 to 35 kV, complete transformer substations of voltage classes from 1 to 110 kV; coupling capacitors of voltage classes from 35 to 750 kV; complete distributing devices tight with full or partial isolation of the main chains by gas or with its mixture with other gases (GIS); insulators: reinforced, intended for independent use in apparatus and switchgear, including complete; tire supports; reinforced bushings intended for use in oil-filled or non-combustible liquid dielectric transformers, reactors and apparatus; bushings assembled from parts on a tank of oil-filled or non-combustible liquid dielectric transformers, reactors, apparatuses and GIS. The standard does not apply to: electrical equipment operating in test, medical X-ray, radio, autonomous mobile and other special installations; valve windings of converter transformers and converter reactors; vacuum circuit breakers; parts of transformers and reactors (for example, devices for switching windings taps and related devices, including switching devices supplied separately from transformers), parts of apparatus (for example, rods, rods, guides, insulating tires); isolation of connection (node outside the transformer tank) of the cable to the winding of the oil power transformer; serial and linear regulating transformers; power transformer neutral insulation, grounded through a serial control transformer; insulation between the conductive parts of the multi-pin glands; electrical equipment in operation, in terms of preventive tests of its insulation; external insulation of electrical equipment and internal insulation of dry transformers and reactors exposed to the harmful effects of gases, vapors and chemical deposits.

Стандарт распространяется на оборудование трехфазного переменного тока частоты 50 Гц трехфазного (трехполюсного) исполнений на напряжения от 1 до 750 кВ, климатических исполнений У, УХЛ, ХЛ, Т, ТС, категорий размещения 1, 2, 3 и 4 по ГОСТ 15150: силовые трансформаторы (в т.ч. автотрансформаторы); трансформаторы напряжения (электромагнитные и емкостные); трансформаторы тока; реакторы: шунтирующие, токоограничивающие классов напряжения от 1 до 220 кВ, заземляющие дугогасящие классов напряжения от1 до 35 кВ; аппараты: выключатели (в т.ч. выключатели нагрузки и отделители без видимого промежутка между контактами), разъединители (в т.ч. разъединяющие выключатели нагрузки и отделители с видимым промежутком между контактами), короткозамыкатели, заземлители, комплексы аппаратов, предохранители классов напряжения от 1 до 220 кВ, комплектные распределительные устройства, в т.ч. наружной установки, в металлической негерметичной оболочке классов напряжения от 1 до 35 кВ, экранированные токопроводы классов напряжения от 1 до 35 кВ, комплектные трансформаторные подстанции классов напряжения от 1 до 110 кВ; конденсаторы связи классов напряжения от 35 до 750 кВ; комплектные распределительные устройства герметичные с полной или частичной изоляцией главных цепей элегазом или смесью его с другими газами (КРУЭ); изоляторы: армированные, предназначенные для самостоятельного применения в аппаратах и распределительных устройствах, в т.ч. комплектных; шинные опоры; армированные вводы, предназначенные для применения в масляных или заполненных негорючим жидким диэлектриком трансформаторах, реакторах и аппаратах; вводы, собираемые из частей на баке масляных или заполенных негорючим жидким диэлектриком трансформаторов, реакторов, аппаратов и КРУЭ. Стандарт не распространяется на: электрооборудование, работающее в испытательных, медицинских рентгеновских, радиотехнических, автономных подвижных и других специальных установках; вентильные обмотки преобразовательных трансформаторов и преобразовательные реакторы; вакуумные выключатели; детали трансформаторов и реакторов (например, устройства переключения ответвлений обмоток и связанные с ними устройства, в том числе устройства переключения, поставляемые отдельно от трансформаторов), детали аппаратов (например, штанги, тяги, направляющие, изолирующие покрышки); изоляцию присоединения (узел вне бака трансформатора) кабеля к обмотке масляного силового трансформатора; последовательные и линейные регулировочные трансформаторы; изоляцию нейтрали силовых трансформаторов, заземляемую через последовательный регулировочный трансформатор; изоляцию между токоведущими частями многозажимных вводов; электрооборудование, находящееся в эксплуатации, в части профилактических испытаний его изоляции; внешнюю изоляцию электрооборудования и внутреннюю изоляцию сухих трансформаторов и реакторов, подвергающуюся вредным воздействиям газов, испарений и химических отложений.
