The standard applies to calibrated and with a special surface finish steel for the manufacture of products by cold extrusion and upsetting, and hot-rolled steel (rolled steel, rod) for the manufacture of calibrated and with a special finish on the surface of rolled metal and wire. In terms of norms of chemical composition, the standard also applies to ingots and billets intended for products obtained by cold extrusion and upsetting.
Стандарт распространяется на калиброванный и со специальной отделкой поверхности прокат для изготовления изделий методом холодного выдавливания и высадки, и на горячекатаный прокат(подкат, катанку) для изготовления калиброванного и со специальной отделкой поверхности проката и проволоки. В части норм химического состава стандарт распространяется также на слитки и заготовку, предназначенные для изделий, получаемых методом холодного выдавливания и высадки.
