The standard applies to power cables with aluminum or copper conductors, plastic insulated, plastic or aluminum sheaths, with or without protective covers, designed to transmit and distribute electrical energy in fixed installations of nominal AC voltage of 0.66, 1.3 and 6 kV 50 Hz frequency.
