Status: Effective - Introduced for the first time. IUS 8-1981 The limitation of effectiveness period has been lifted: Resolution of the State Standard No. 3513 of 11.29.89
The standard applies to acetylene plants, including stationary equipment for producing acetylene in the interaction of calcium carbide and water, for storage, cleaning, compression, cooling, drying, filling cylinders, storage of carbide, as well as batteries of acetylene cylinders, droplet separators, safety devices and acetylene lines, and establishes safety requirements for design, testing, labeling and documentation. The standard does not apply to non-calcium carbide-producing acetylene plants; on the installation of chemical processing of acetylene; for equipment for scientific and research purposes; for equipment used for lighting and heating; for equipment used to process no more than 0.5 kg of calcium carbide and its gasification; on acetylene equipment used on all means of passenger and freight transport.
Стандарт распространяется на ацетиленовые установки, включающие стационарное оборудование для получения ацетилена при взаимодействии карбида кальция и воды, для хранения, очистки, сжатия, охлаждения, осушки, наполнения баллонов, хранения карбида, а также батареи ацетиленовых баллонов, каплеотделители, предохранительные устройства и ацетиленопроводы, и устанавливает требования безопасности к конструкции, испытанию, маркировке и документации. Стандарт не распространяется на установки, производящие ацетилен не из карбида кальция; на установки химической переработки ацетилена; на оборудование для научных и исследовательских целей; на оборудование, служащее для освещения и отопления; на оборудование, используемое для переработки не более чем 0,5 кг карбида кальция и его газификации; на ацетиленовое оборудование, используемое на всех средствах пассажирского и грузового транспорта.
