The standard applies to round and shaped unconsolidated and compacted conductive wires of cables, wires and cords made of copper, tinned copper, aluminum wire without a metallic coating or with a metallic coating. The standard does not apply to conductors for radiofrequency cables, communication cables, winding wires, oil-filled cables and wires for overhead power lines, and to special-purpose conductors for cables and wires, applies fully or partially if provided for in standards or technical specifications for cable products.
Стандарт распространяется на круглые и фасонные неуплотненные и уплотненные токопроводящие жилы кабелей, проводов и шнуров, изготовленные из медной, медной луженой, алюминиевой проволоки без металлического покрытия или с металлическим покрытием. Стандарт не распространяется на жилы для радиочастотных кабелей, кабелей связи, обмоточных проводов, маслонаполненных кабелей и проводов для воздушных линий электропередачи, а на жилы кабелей и проводов специального применения распространяется полностью или частично, если это предусмотрено в стандартах или технических условиях на кабельные изделия.
