The standard applies to measuring instruments and establishes the nomenclature of metrological characteristics (MX), the rules for choosing complexes of standardized MX (NMH) for specific types of measuring instruments and methods for adjusting MX in regulatory technical documents (STD) to measuring instruments: in general technical standards and standards general technical requirements for measuring instruments; standards of technical conditions and standards of technical requirements for measuring instruments; in technical conditions for measuring instruments; in technical tasks for the development of measuring instruments. The standard does not apply to standards, calibration equipment and measuring instruments designed as exemplary.
Стандарт распространяется на средства измерений и устанавливает номенклатуру метрологических характеристик (МХ), правила выбора комплексов нормируемых МХ (НМХ) для конкретных типов средств измерений и способы нормирования МХ в нормативно-технических документах (НТД) на средства измерений: в стандартах общих технических условий и стандартах общих технических требований на средства измерений; стандартах технических условий и стандартах технических требований на средства измерений; в технических условиях на средства измерений; в технических заданиях на разработку средств измерений. Стандарт не распространяется на эталоны, поверочные установки и средства измерений, разработанные как образцовые.
