Nonlinear resistor-type arresters for standard ac voltage
Status: Effective - Supersedes. The limitation of the effectiveness period has been lifted: Protocol No. 3-93 of the IGU dated 03.03.93 (IUS 5-6-1993)
The standard applies to valve-type arresters designed to protect against isolation and switching overvoltages of electrical equipment of 50 Hz AC electrical equipment with rated voltages from 3 to 750 kV. The standard does not apply to special purpose dischargers, including for rolling stock of electrified railways.
