Regulations of installation of vertical cylindrical steel reservoirs (steel scroll tanks) for petroleum and petroleum products
Status: Not effective
The rules establish general technical requirements for the design, construction, manufacture, installation, testing of vertical steel tanks for petroleum and petroleum products. The rules apply to newly designed vertical cylindrical steel tanks with volumes from 100 to 50,000 m3 for oil and oil products with stationary or floating roofs. Design, manufacture and installation of tanks with a capacity of more than 50,000 m3 are carried out according to individual technical conditions by specialized organizations, subject to the provisions of these Regulations. The rules do not apply to isothermal tanks for other liquid products, storage tanks for hot water and storage tanks for aggressive chemical products.
