A standard instruction establishes methods for protecting steel pipelines of heat networks and pipeline elements from external corrosion, the procedure for applying protective equipment and requirements for protective anti-corrosion coatings and electrochemical protection devices (ECP), the procedure for receiving and repairing protective anti-corrosion coatings and ECP devices, the rules for operating ECP depending on on the method of laying heating networks, the type of thermal insulation structures, operating conditions, as well as the procedure for organizing work on protection against external corners Osia newly built, reconstructed and existing heating networks.

Типовая инструкция устанавливает методы защиты стальных трубопроводов тепловых сетей и элементов трубопроводов от наружной коррозии, порядок применения средств защиты и требования к защитным антикоррозионным покрытиям и устройствам электрохимической защиты (ЭХЗ), порядок приемки и ремонта защитных антикоррозионных покрытий и устройств ЭХЗ, правила эксплуатации ЭХЗ в зависимости от способа прокладки тепловых сетей, типа теплоизоляционных конструкций, условий эксплуатации, а также порядок организации работ по защите от наружной коррозии вновь сооружаемых, реконструируемых и действующих тепловых сетей.
