Rules of maintenance overhaul of oil-trunk pipeline at waterway, railway and category I-IV highway crossings.
Status: Not effective - No longer valid. Order of the Ministry of Energy of Russia No. 255 dated March 31, 2016
The guidance document applies to underwater crossings through rivers with a natural and regulated regime and water bodies more than 30 m wide or more than 1.5 m deep, and also to crossings of I and IV categories of railways and highways made of the type “pipe in a protective case” and laid in the following ways: - open method of laying cases at a depth of not more than 4 m (at the intersection of the road of category II and below, or if it is impossible to use the trenchless method); - by the trenchless method made by the following methods: a) horizontal drilling, used for soils of I – IV categories, except flooded and water-saturated sands and sandy loams (when laying covers of large diameter and from 40 to 60 m long); b) a puncture used in soils of categories I - III, as well as in clay soils of category IV, which do not have solid inclusions; c) pushing the casing into the ground with the subsequent manual development of the ground in a pipe laid in any soil except rock. The guidance document does not apply to crossings and structures across reservoirs (seas, estuaries, lakes) more than 10 km wide, estuarine sections of rivers in the tidal current, to pass through small water barriers with depths up to 1.5 m in low water and not wide more than 30 m, the repair of which does not require special equipment and technology.
