Стандарт распространяется на низковольтные комплектные устройства распределения и управления (НКУ), полностью испытанные (прошедшие типовые испытания) - (ПИ НКУ) и частично испытанные (ЧИ НКУ), номинальное напряжение которых не превышает 1000 В переменного тока частотой не более 1000 Гц или 1500 В постоянного тока, предназначенные для экспорта. Стандарт также распространяется на НКУ, содержащие управляющие и/или силовые устройства, работающие при более высоких частотах. В этом случае действуют соответствующие дополнительные требования. Стандарт распространяется на стационарные и передвижные НКУ в защищенном или открытом исполнении. Стандарт распространяется на НКУ управления оборудованием, осуществляющим генерирование, передачу, распределение и преобразование электрической энергии, а также управления оборудованием, потребляющим электрическую энергию.
