The standard establishes the requirements for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility in terms of resistance to electromagnetic interference to electrical, electronic and electronic products and equipment intended for use in residential, commercial areas and industrial areas with low power consumption, as well as methods for their testing. The scope of the standard covers the frequency range from 0 to 400 GHz. The standard is applied in the absence of national standards in the field of electromagnetic compatibility, establishing the requirements for noise immunity to the technical means of specific groups intended for use in residential, commercial areas and production areas with low power consumption.

Стандарт устанавливает требования по обеспечению электромагнитной совместимости в части устойчивости к электромагнитным помехам к электротехническим, электронным и радиоэлектронным изделиям и аппаратуре, предназначенным для применения в жилых, коммерческих зонах и производственных зонах с малым энергопотреблением, а также методы их испытаний. Область применения стандарта охватывает полосу частот от 0 до 400 ГГц. Стандарт применяют при отсутствии национальных стандартов в области электромагнитной совместимости, устанавливающих требования помехоустойчивости к техническим средствам конкретных групп, предназначенных для применения в жилых, коммерческих зонах и производственных зонах с малым энергопотреблением.
