The standard applies to marine, diesel, industrial diesel engines, gas and gas-diesel engines and establishes acceptance rules and test methods for serial production of diesel engines. The standard does not apply to automotive, tractor and combine diesel engines.
Стандарт распространяется на судовые, тепловозные, промышленные дизели, газовые и газодизельные двигатели и устанавливает правила приемки и методы испытаний дизелей серийного производства. Стандарт не распространяется на автомобильные, тракторные и комбайновые дизели.
