This standard applies to safety valves of direct action for general industrial use nominal diameters from DN 10 to DN 300 (inclusive) on the nominal pressure up to PN 400 (inclusive) for liquid and gaseous aggressive and non-aggressive media with temperatures from minus 110 degrees. C (163 K) to 600 degrees. C (873 K) designed to protect equipment from an emergency pressure increase by releasing (dumping) the medium from it into the atmosphere or into a low pressure system
