The standard applies to the dimensions: approximation of buildings and rolling stock of 1520 (1524) mm gauge railways of the general network of the USSR, access roads from the junction station to the territory of industrial and transport enterprises (external access roads), tracks located on the territory of industrial and transport enterprises ( internal access roads) and between them; approximation of buildings for 1435 mm gauge tracks located on the territory of the USSR, through which rolling stock of Soviet railways (after changing bogies) or foreign rolling stock is drawn; rolling stock intended for operation both by the USSR railways of the 1520 (1524) mm gauge, and by 1435 mm in the railways of foreign countries.
