The standard establishes the basic rules for designating controls and control devices, coding information in the form of visual (light), sound and tactile signals in order to: - ensure the safety of people (operators), equipment and environmental protection by monitoring the state of equipment and technological processes; - to ensure the rapid recognition of information from controls and devices that monitor, control and maintain equipment and monitor technological processes. The standard is intended for use by technical committees on standardization both in simple cases using a small number of controls and control devices with one or two types of signals, and in complex systems using a large number of various types of controls and control devices with signals of the required types.
Стандарт устанавливает основные правила обозначения органов управления и контрольных устройств, кодирования информации в виде визуальных (световых), звуковых и осязательных сигналов с целью: - обеспечить безопасность людей (операторов), оборудования и охрану окружающей среды посредством наблюдения за состоянием оборудования и технологическими процессами; - обеспечить быстрое распознавание информации органов управления и устройств, осуществляющих контроль, управление и обслуживание оборудования и наблюдение за технологическими процессами. Стандарт предназначен для применения техническими комитетами по стандартизации как в простых случаях с использованием небольшого количества органов управления и контрольных устройств с одним или двумя видами сигналов, так и в сложных системах с использованием большого количества разнообразных видов органов управления и контрольных устройств с сигналами необходимых видов.
