Nuts. Mechanical properties and test methods
Status: Not effective - Superseded. Registration information 1455-st dated 08/08/2013 (official website of Rosstandart). IUS 9-2014
The standard establishes the mechanical properties of nuts with given values of the test load when tested in conditions with ambient temperature from 10 ° C to 35 ° C. Mechanical and physical properties may vary depending on temperature and strength class. At temperatures above or below this range, significant changes in properties may occur. If fasteners are used in a different temperature range, the consumer must ensure that the specified mechanical and physical properties are suitable for these particular conditions. The standard applies to nuts: - with a nominal thread diameter of up to 48 mm; - with a triangular metric thread according to GOST 24705; - with a tolerance of thread 6Н according to GOST 16093; - with the set mechanical characteristics; - with dimensions "turnkey" according to GOST 24671; - with a nominal height of t & gt; 0.5 thread diameter; - from carbon unalloyed or alloyed steels. The standard does not apply to nuts with special properties, such as: - weldability; - locking ability (GOST R 50271); - corrosion resistance (GOST 1759.0); - the ability to withstand temperatures above plus 300 ° C or below minus 50 ° C (see note 1). Notes 1 Nuts made of automata steels are allowed to be used at temperatures up to 250 ° C. 2 For special products, such as nuts of high-strength bolted connections for metal structures or nuts intended for hot-dip galvanized bolts, see the standards for the relevant products. 3 For threaded connections that use tolerances greater than 6H
