GOST 31610.32-1-2015

Explosion hazardous media. Part 32-1. Electrostatics. Dangerous manifestations. Manual

Status: Effective - Introduced for the first time. IUS 11-2016

The standard provides guidance on testing the properties of equipment, products and processes necessary to prevent ignition hazards and electrostatic discharges, as well as the operational requirements necessary to guarantee the safe use of equipment, products or a process. The standard can be used in assessing the risk of electrostatic discharges or for the preparation of standards by product group or specific products for electrical and non-electric machines or equipment. The hazards associated with static electricity in industrial processes and environmental conditions that most often create dangerous situations are considered. These processes include the loading, unloading and transportation of solids, liquids, powders, gases, aerosols and explosives. In each case, the source and nature of the electrostatic hazard and recommendations for its elimination are determined. The standard does not cover static electricity hazards associated with lightning or damage to electronic components. The standard does not replace the standards applicable to specific products and industrial situations.
