Concrete with polysterene aggregates. Specifications
Status: Effective - Introduced for the first time. IUS 2-2017; the date of introduction was postponed from 01/01/2017 to 01/01/2018; IUS 6-2017
The standard applies to particularly lightweight concrete porous structure on cement binder and porous filler of polystyrene foam granules, intended for the manufacture of precast products or monolithic structures used in exterior walls, coatings and ceilings of energy-efficient residential and public buildings. In a feasibility study, it is allowed to use polystyrene concrete for industrial, road and other types of construction. Recommended scopes of polystyrene concrete in building envelopes are given in Appendix A. The standard establishes technical requirements for polystyrene concrete and polystyrene concrete mixtures, materials for their preparation, as well as for acceptance and control methods of their technical characteristics. The requirements of the standard should be considered in the new and revised standards and technical specifications for prefabricated products and monolithic structures made of polystyrene concrete.
