The standard applies to the method for determining the content of soaps in greases prepared on water-soluble soaps. The method consists in determining the total content of bound and free alkali in the lubricant by the consumption of hydrochloric acid, followed by titration, determining the content of free alkali in the lubricant and calculating the content in the lubricant soaps in terms of oleic acid soap.
Стандарт распространяется на метод определения содержания мыл в консистентных смазках, приготовленных на водорастворимых мылах. Метод заключается в определении суммарного содержания связанной и свободной щелочи в смазке по расходу соляной кислоты, пошедшей на титрование, определении содержания свободной щелочи в смазке и вычислении содержания в смазке мыл в пересчете на мыло олеиновой кислоты.
