Petroleum and natural gas industries. Arctic operations. Ice management. Physical environmental data collection
Status: Effective - Introduced for the first time. IUS 7-2018
This standard applies to ice management systems designed for the Arctic regions, as well as for the freezing seas of Russia. This standard establishes the requirements for the composition of hydrometeorological data, including data on ice conditions and bathymetry, necessary for the design of ice control systems in the framework of projects for the development of offshore hydrocarbon deposits, and the order of their collection, as well as methods for determining climatic (regime) characteristics. The requirements of this standard apply to ice management systems designed to be used at all stages of the life cycle of offshore facilities. This standard does not apply to the organization of operational data collection and the provision of prognostic hydrometeorological information during the operation of ice control systems. However, guidelines for assessing the climatic characteristics of the ice and hydrometeorological regimes in the water area of the deployment of an ice management system and recommendations for taking them into account should also be applied at the stage of its operation.
