The BAT reference book covers the following main activities: - production of quicklime, slaked and hydraulic lime; manufacture of other non-metallic mineral products; production of cement, lime and gypsum. Appendix B shows the relevant areas of application of the BAT guide OKVED and OKPD codes. The BAT reference book also extends to processes associated with the main activities that may affect the volume of emissions or the extent of environmental pollution: - storage and preparation of raw materials; fuel storage and preparation; production processes; methods for preventing and reducing emissions and waste generation; storage and preparation of products. The BAT reference book does not apply to: - extraction of raw materials at deposits; issues relating exclusively to industrial safety or labor protection
