Стандарт распространяется на сжиженные углеводородные газы (пропан, пропен, бутаны, бутены с примесями сопутствующих компонентов и/или их смеси) (далее - СУГ), получаемые при переработке нефти, газового конденсата, попутного нефтяного и природного газов, и устанавливает метод измерения содержания входящих в их состав парафиновых и олефиновых углеводородов С1-С5 и выше в единицах массовой или молярной доли в диапазонах измерений, указанных в таблице 1. Данные по компонентному составу СУГ можно использовать для упрощенного вычисления значений их физических свойств, таких как плотность, давление насыщенных паров, октановое число. Метод измерений предназначен для применения в аналитических (испытательных) лабораториях нефтехимических, газо- и нефтеперерабатывающих предприятий при контроле качества СУГ.
