The manual was developed for SNiP II-25-80. It provides the necessary explanations and justifications for certain provisions and guidelines for the calculation of wooden structures, provides design recommendations that are not reflected in the standards. In particular, this concerns the features of calculating compressed-bending elements, stiffness bonds, new types of joints, technical and economic evaluation of structural solutions, etc.

В нем даны необходимые разъяснения и обоснования отдельных положений и указаний по расчету деревянных конструкций, приведены рекомендации по проектированию, не получившие отражения в нормах. В частности, это касается особенностей расчета сжато-изгибаемых элементов, связей жесткости, новых типов соединений, технико-экономической оценки конструктивных решений и др.
