The provisions in the Manual apply to operated steel structures that are retained (with or without reinforcement) as part of the supporting structures of buildings and structures after their reconstruction, as well as steel structures that have significant physical wear and tear, for which reinforcement is a measure to ensure their compliance with the requirements further normal operation
