The standard contains a description of the procedures for the qualitative determination of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and products containing them by analyzing nucleic acids extracted from the sample under study. The standard provides general requirements for the specific determination and identification of target nucleic acid (DNA) sequences and for confirming the identity of the amplified DNA sequence. The standard has been developed for food matrixes, but can also be applied to analyze other matrices (for example, animal feed, plant samples from the environment)
Стандарт содержит описание процедур качественного определения генетически модифицированных организмов (ГМО) и содержащих их продуктов путем анализа нуклеиновых кислот, выделяемых из исследуемого образца. В стандарте приводятся общие требования к специфическому определению и идентификации целевых последовательностей нуклеиновой кислоты (ДНК) и к подтверждению идентичности амплифицированной последовательности ДНК. Стандарт был разработан для матриц пищевых продуктов, однако может быть также применен для анализа других матриц (например, корма для животных, образцы растений из окружающей среды)
