The standard establishes two methods for determining the tear resistance of fabrics with rubber or plastic coating, in which the components of the tissue substrate are torn perpendicular to the tear direction. The methods are not suitable for fabrics with a cellular or mesh base, having a complex tear shape, and are only partially applicable for knitted coated fabrics.

Методы не пригодны для тканей с сотовой или сетчатой основой, имеющих сложную форму раздира, и только ограниченно применимы для трикотажных тканей с покрытием
