Status: Effective
The standard applies to general-purpose lever scales (medium accuracy class) with the largest weighing limits from 1 to 200,000 kg. The standard applies to scales: dial with a round scale; dial with sector scale, requiring the use of class 5 weights according to GOST 7328-82 school scale with rectilinear scales applied on the beam, mobile weights; weight, weights requiring the use of class 5 according to GOST 7328-82 or conditional weights. The standard does not apply to laboratory, technological, automatic scales of discrete (discontinuous) and continuous action, household and special purposes (field, medical, for weighing livestock. Baggage and mail items, etc.).

Стандарт распространяется на весы: циферблатные с круглой шкалой; циферблатные с секторной шкалой, требующие применения гирь класса 5 по ГОСТ 7328-82 шкальные с прямолинейными шкалами, нанесенными на коромысле, передвижными гирями; гирные, требующие применения гирь класс 5 по ГОСТ 7328-82 или условных гирь. Стандарт не распространяется на лабораторные, технологические, автоматические весы дискретного (прерывного) и непрерывного действия, бытовые и специального назначения (полевые, медицинские, для взвешивания скота. Багажа и почтовых отправлений и др.).
