High level data link control procedures. Frame structure

Status: Effective
The standard applies to bit-oriented data link management procedures used in public data networks to transfer messages or data packets of variable length over data channels not protected from errors. The standard does not apply to procedures that do not use cyclic codes for error protection. The standard establishes a frame structure and cyclic coding - decoding rules for data link control procedures.
Стандарт распространяется на процедуры управления звеном данных с кодонезависимостью, ориентированной на биты, применяемые в сетях передачи данных общего пользования для переноса сообщений или пакетов данных переменной длины по незащищенным от ошибок каналам передачи данных. Стандарт не распространяется на процедуры, не использующие для защиты от ошибок циклические коды. Стандарт устанавливает структуру кадра и правила циклического кодирования - декодирования для процедур управления звеном передачи данных.
