This standard applies to all kinds of garments and establishes methods for determining the tensile strength of the seam, elongation of thread seams, retractable threads of fabric in the seams. The methods outlined in the standard are applied when selecting new technological modes of processing materials, new types of sewing threads, and thread seams at the design stage of clothing
