The standard establishes safety requirements for the design of electric locomotives and diesel locomotives, including 1520 mm gas turbine locomotives. The requirements of the standard fully apply to locomotives designed since 01/01/83, and in part, as agreed between the manufacturer and the customer, to locomotives manufactured. The standard does not apply to operated locomotives, traction units and other special locomotives for special technological transportation at industrial enterprises, as well as to locomotives intended for export.
Стандарт устанавливает требования безопасности к конструкции электровозов и тепловозов, в том числе газотурбовозов колеи 1520 мм. Требования стандарта в полном объеме распространяются на локомотивы, проектируемые с 01.01.83, и частично, по согласованию между изготовителем и заказчиком, - на изготавливаемые локомотивы. Стандарт не распространяется на эксплуатируемые локомотивы, тяговые агрегаты и другие специальные локомотивы для особых технологических перевозок на промышленных предприятиях, а также на локомотивы, предназначенные на экспорт.
