This standard applies to all types of vacuum pumps, combinations of vacuum pumps and vacuum systems and establishes the main types of hazards emanating from vacuum pumps. The standard establishes the safety requirements for pumps, their transportation and storage, installation, operation, maintenance and disassembly during the intended service life and subsequent disposal. This standard does not apply to pumps for continuous pumping in open systems in which the pressure at the pump inlet does not fall below 75 kPa (for example, in vacuum cleaners, fans). Requirements for individual types of pumps can be supplemented in accordance with the requirements of regulatory documents for a particular type of pump
Настоящий стандарт распространяется на все типы вакуумных насосов, комбинаций вакуумных насосов и вакуумные системы и устанавливает основные виды опасностей, исходящие от вакуумных насосов. Стандарт устанавливает требования безопасности, предъявляемые к насосам, их транспортированию и хранению, установке, эксплуатации, техническому обслуживанию и демонтажу во время предполагаемого срока эксплуатации и последующей утилизации. Настоящий стандарт не распространяется на насосы для непрерывного откачивания в открытых системах, в которых давление на входе насоса не падает ниже 75 кПа (например в пылесосах, вентиляторах). Требования, для отдельных типов насосов могут быть дополнены в соответствии с требованиями нормативных документов на насос конкретного типа
