GOST 10390-86

Electrical equipment for voltages 3 kV and higher. Test methods of electric strength of external insulation in conditions of contamination

Status: Not effective - Superseded. Registration information 675-st dated 06/23/2016 (official website of Rosstandart); IUS 12-2016

The standard applies to electrical equipment designed to work in outdoor installations of alternating current of 50 Hz frequency and direct current voltage classes of 3 kV and above: transformers (power, current and voltage), reactors, devices, capacitors, cable terminations, and also insulators establishes general methods for testing external insulation in a contaminated state when exposed to AC or DC voltage or switching pulses for a long time. The standard does not apply to insulators whose surface is covered with semiconducting glaze or hydrophobic pastes, as well as valve-type arresters and surge arresters.
