The standard applies to diesel locomotives with electrical transmission, intended for freight and passenger traffic on railways of 1520 and 1435 mm gauge, and establishes general technical requirements for diesel locomotives, their systems and component parts. The standard does not apply to diesel locomotives subjected to modernization with the extension of service life.
Стандарт распространяется на тепловозы с электрической передачей, предназначенные для грузовых и пассажирских перевозок по железным дорогам колеи 1520 и 1435 мм и устанавливает общие технические требования к тепловозам, их системам и составным частям. Стандарт не распространяется на тепловозы, подвергаемые модернизации с продлением срока службы.
